River of Comfort Ministries was founded by Caroline & Stephen Lentoror. After losing her grandmother, Caroline’s heart was burdened for the elders of her community in Narok County, Kenya. Caroline started visiting shut -ins with bread, Vaseline and little bit of change as she shared the love of Jesus with them. These visits gave birth to what Caroline calls the ‘wild idea’ of establishing a residential and day care facility for the elderly, especially the homeless and abandoned widows of the community. She shared her dream with Stephen, and River of Comfort was born.
